    A great Direct Hire Opportunity with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Law Enforcement. They are seeking to hire a GS-7/8 Law Enforcement Support Assistant (LESA) position which is an administrative assistant position located near the Honolulu Airport.     The Office of Law Enforcement, (OLE) mission is to protect wildlife resources by investigating wildlife crimes, regulating wildlife trade and helping others understand and comply with wildlife protection laws. The Office of Law Enforcement contributes to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service efforts to manage ecosystems, save endangered species, conserve migratory birds, preserve wildlife habitat, restore fisheries, combat invasive species, and promote international wildlife conservation. None of this is possible without working as a team and that team can only excel when it is supported by a motivated and dynamic LESA.

    The LESA reports directly to the Resident Agent in Charge (RAC). A LESA’s major duties include Office Automation and Technical Support (editing investigative reports for format, preparing correspondence for signature; answering phones; payroll; supply acquisition; making travel arrangements and processing travel authorizations and vouchers; using Federal Financial Systems; property tracking; greeting visitors; maintains the RAC’s calendar; etc.)

    Interested applicants must qualify under at least one of the following direct hire authorities such as: Military Spouses Program, Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA), 30% or More Disabled Veteran, Schedule A Appointing Authority for People with Certain Disabilities, Youth Conservation Corps (YCC), Recent Graduates Program, Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program.
