THIS TRAINING HAS BEEN CANCELLED – JERRRY WILL BE BACK IN HAWAII TO OFFER LEADERSHIP TRAINING IN LATE JULY – CHECK BACK TO GET THE UPDATED REGISTRATION INFO
The four sessions in this two-day course are designed to improve the leadership effectiveness of federal employees. Presented and led by Jerry Strom, creator of the highly acclaimed ‘Six Core Competencies of Leadership’ training series, this class builds essential leadership skills associated with OPM’s recommended ‘Executive Core Qualifications’ for leadership. Incorporating recent surveys and research within the federal sector, you’ll improve business acumen, the capacity to lead change, lead people, drive results, and build coalitions.
“Strategic Thinking.” Becoming more strategic in your everyday thinking is essential to having a strong leadership agenda: providing guidance to decisions, implementing initiatives, determining priorities and allocating resources.
“Creative, Innovative, and Adaptive Thinking.” Accomplishing the strategic initiatives, goals, and the mission of the agency is dramatically improved when imaginative, thought-provoking ideas are used as a catalyst to see work accomplished in new ways, with new focus, clarity, and energy.
“Social / Emotional Intelligence.” Your impact as a leader goes well beyond your competence; it depends greatly on how well you interact with others. Learn what works, assess your actions, and understand how to make adjustments.
“Where the Leadership Research Leads Us.” A ‘W.O.W.’ Factor is always in play on the job – leaders need to fully understand the primary wants and needs that people embrace. Compiled from research within the federal sector; see how this information impacts the actions you take.
