Course Description

If only one person on a team is working remotely, it is considered a virtual team. Managing a team that is virtual rather than in-person is different and requires a shift in mindset, skills, and practices. Although many core tenants of successful management remain the same, the methods to achieve them differ when the team is geographically dispersed. One cannot simply take their in-person managerial style, apply it to a virtual environment, and expect the same results. This interactive session will help participants identify and strengthen their core management capabilities and develop new strategies for success in the virtual team environment.
