In February 2015, Stacey Franklin was selected as the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Area Manager for Asia Pacific. As the senior GSA representative for Hawaii and the Pacific Basin, Stacey Franklin oversees the management and operation of all GSA Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) facilities, provision of supplies, and marketing of all related business lines and determination of Federal agency requirements.
Stacey Franklin also serves as an Executive Committee Member on the Honolulu-Pacific Federal Executive Board and also works with Department of Defense (DoD), FEMA, SBA and other participating agencies to coordinate support for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response operations.
Stacey has served in a variety of logistics positions throughout his career, both in and out of uniform. Prior to his position at GSA, he served as Director of the Logistics Readiness Center - Hawaii (LRC-HI) for U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC). In support of U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii and eight deployable brigades, Stacey provided oversight for all aspects of installation level logistics planning and execution efforts, Unit mobilization for OIF/OEF deployments and multinational training exercises. He also provided assistance to numerous Army Family programs supporting over 95,000 Soldiers, Families and the military communities in Hawaii.
Stacey’s other notable assignments as LRC-HI Plans & Operations Division Chief, BAE Systems Program Manager, Supply & Services Division Chief, Maintenance Division Chief, Quality Assurance Manager, and a Senior Logistics Advisor for Army Sustainment Command, Hawaii have contributed to the defense industry at the local as well as national levels. Stacey is also a former Army Officer and OEF Veteran who served with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Over the course of his career, Stacey has participated in numerous real world operations as well as many military, state and civil exercises. He has also attended a variety of leadership, logistics and materiel management courses ranging from Army Support Operations to the ISO 9000:2001 Internal Auditor’s Course. Stacey has a degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and has earned two Master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and Management (MM). Stacey is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has also successfully earned a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Stacey is a native of Farmville, Virginia and is married to the former Kelly Shota of Honolulu, HI. Stacey and Kelly have four children, Madison (8), Asher (6), McKenzie (6) and Dylan (6).
